CrossFit Level 2
Will started with Crossfit in 2011 and participated in the first Open with only a few months of experience. That was the hook! Will got his L1 in 2018 then followed up with his L2 in 2021, first coaching in 2019, and started with Sideyard in Jan 2024. Will is committed to creating a supportive and positive experience within the CrossFit community. By focusing on positive reinforcement of movements and encouragement, Will helps members build confidence and develop a lifelong love of fitness.
Along with CFL2, he holds USAW L1 Olympic weightlifting, CF1 Nutrition, and Precision Nutrition Certification.
You can’t outwork a crappy diet. When not coaching or selling lasers, Will loves playing sports- basketball, soccer, racquetball, and softball are just a few. Currently, if you don’t find him in the gym, he is getting his butt kicked by senior citizens playing
pickleball.

I love sharing my passion for CrossFit with others (but in a non-cultish way ). CrossFit has had an unbelievable impact on my mind and body; I no longer let age define or limit me. I’ve visited many CrossFit boxes while traveling. Trust me, we have dedicated and knowledgeable coaches who also care about our athletes on a personal level. Outside the gym, I’m a wife, mom of 6 (Brady Bunch), grandma of 7, an endurance race junkie (wanna do a race?!) who loves traveling, anything in the mountains, golf, and watching football. My favorite movements are barbells and burpees!

Coach Susie is a Level 2 CrossFit coach with a Burgener Strength Weightlifting Certification and 2+ years of coaching experience. Passionate about all things strength, she loves workouts that feature a heavy barbell. When she’s not coaching or training, you’ll likely find her hiking with her high-energy dog or studying fish populations, blending her love for fitness with her curiosity for the natural world.

I’m Nic Jayo, a CF-L1. I started CrossFit when I moved up to the area from Twin Falls in 2020. I fell in love with
it from day 1. Physical fitness and exercise has always been a big part of my life but a person can only do so
many bi and back days. The introduction to CrossFit for me was amazing. I enjoy what defines CrossFit:
constantly varied functional movements at a high intensity. The competitive nature of it is also a plus. BUT the
community is what really grabs me and what it’s been all about. I’ve met some amazing people and gained
many friends from my experience in this CrossFit world. I live that dog dad life with two golden retrievers. Every
day I strive to make them proud of me. I love being with my family and friends. I don’t do much of it but I really
enjoy traveling and camping. Don’t get me wrong I also enjoy and appreciate a lazy weekend on the couch to
recharge a bit! I am excited to be a part of the SideYard staff and community here in Middleton.

Ruth Spickelmire brings three years of experience to SideYard CrossFit, specializing in (attitude adjustments and motivating athletes to stop whining) breaking down mindsets that don’t serve the body, mind, or soul. She is passionate about helping every athlete unlock their full potential, believing that energy is everything. Direct your attention to what you want, then reset, rebalance, and refocus; everything can change. Outside the gym, Coach Ruth enjoys meditating, reading, writing, and listening to her children whine. Her favorite workout is the Murph or any workout, including a barbell and excluding running.

Coach Dana joined the coaching team at SideYard CrossFit in May 2023 and brings expertise as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Kids CrossFit Coach. She also leads New Member Foundations, helping athletes build a strong start on their fitness journey. A dedicated student of mindset and personal growth, Dana is passionate about helping others develop both physically and mentally. Known for her welcoming personality, she proudly holds the title of SideYard’s 11th (tie) friendliest member!

Coach Amanda has been doing CrossFit since 2015. Coaching since 2020. Her expertise is in random analogies, animal references, and beating Coach Will in toes to bar workouts. Outside the gym Coach Amanda enjoys riding her horses, going to barrel races and rodeos, hoarding cats, and learning random trivia that is completely useless.

Coach Rachel brings 4 years of experience to SideYard CrossFit, specializing in Olympic Weightlifting, playlists that will give you whiplash, and sarcasm. Outside the gym, Coach Rachel enjoys playing drums, playing with puppies and cheering on her college son at football and track (go Yotes!) and her daughter in high school theater.

Hi I’m Morgan! I’ve been married to my husband Jake for 7 years and am a proud mother of four wonderful kids. I started CrossFit at SideYard about two and half years ago after a friend talked me into trying it. I was a little intimidated at first but I soon found out what a supportive, welcoming, and energizing community SideYard is. I loved being apart of it so much I decided to become a coach myself! Through this journey I’ve come to appreciate all the things my body can and is capable of doing. I also have my kids apart of the program as well!

With nine years of CrossFit experience and six years as a coach, Coach KZ is a CrossFit Level 2 certified trainer who has been part of the SideYard community since its earliest days in 2015. As a mother of two active young children, she is passionate about balancing family and fitness while fostering a lifestyle of health and wellness. Coach KZ strives to raise her kids with strong, healthy hearts, minds, and bodies, bringing that same dedication to the athletes she coaches.

As the owner of SideYard Training CrossFit, she has created a welcoming community where individuals of all ages and fitness levels can come together to improve their health and well-being. With a CrossFit Level 2 Coaching certification, Sharene specializes in Olympic Lifting, Gymnastics, and CrossFit Kids programs, making fitness accessible and fun for families.
Beyond her role as a coach, Sharene is a dedicated Registered Nurse, bringing her extensive healthcare knowledge into her fitness practice. This unique combination allows her to approach training with a holistic perspective, focusing not only on physical strength but also on overall wellness. She is currently working on her Nurse Practitioner program to improve her offering to the community.
Outside of the gym, Sharene enjoys spending time with her family (she has two kids and soon to be two grandsons) and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Idaho. Her personal journey through health and fitness inspires those around her to embrace an active lifestyle and strive for their best selves.
